Children’s TV Greek Style

As I write this I am sitting in a hotel room on a Greek Island watching Nickelodeon with my two year old. Yes you did read right Nickelodeon whilst on holiday on a Greek Island. It’s nap time for everyone.

The thing that has struck me as we watch the TV is that obviously most of it is in Greek, although there is quite a bit in English as well, is that regardless of the language Oliver is quite happy to watch it as long as it’s cartoons. He would probably sit here all afternoon watching them one after the other if we let him. Something else I’ve noticed is the amount of programmes they show here that are also shown in the UK and obviously USA, since that’s where a lot originate.

I guess that children’s TV no matter the language is now as universal as Coca Cola or McDonald’s are for food and drink.
