Following on from yesterday’s mischievous placing of red pom poms on the photos in our hall, Elfie has returned this morning with a note about planting seeds and watching them bloom.
Upon closer inspection we noticed that within clear plastic balls were colourful seeds and in the pots a white soil.
We can’t wait to plant these and see what happens.
This morning our Elf, Elfie, was caught hanging around sticking pom poms on all our pictures in the hall way.
I can only think that Elfie thought that this was a great idea and a way to make to hall look a little bit more festive.
Following on from all the excitement of the last two days, Elfie has decided to take it easy today and as such has attached a swing to our Christmas Tree and relax.
Over the next last few Sundays of 2017 I am going to be using the #mysundayphoto posts to have a look back over our last year as a family.
We’ve had quite a stressful year and it is nice to be able to look back on the fun times we’ve had and the exciting events that have taken place in that time, such as the birth of our third son, George.
Starting us off is a trip to Disneyland
Back in the Summer we were lucky enough to get to go to Disneyland Paris for a few days with the rest of our family. In fact I posted a #mysundayphoto of our time there.
The above photo was taken in the Inventions Restaurant that is located within the Disneyland Hotel. We booked a character meal for the boys as we weren’t too sure how they would react seeing them within the crowded environment of the park, we needn’t have worried on that front.
The meal was a fantastic idea and time though as the boys really got to interact with five different characters from the Disney family. As you can see in the above photo of Oliver Mickey Mouse was one of those characters, along with Pluto, Donald Duck, Tigger and Eyore.
We would thoroughly recommend a character meal if you can stretch your budget, because although on the expensive side it was fully worth the money we paid.
Oh no! Elfie was having a midnight snack when Jingles pushed him into the donut box and took off with the rest of the donuts.. who’s going to save Elfie??
Elfie has brought his little baby sister Lou along to meet baby George and the boys, after he meet George yesterday.
Did you know Elves drink green milk?! Elfie has brought some for the boys to try…
We have been totally taken over by the Elf on the Shelf tradition in our household. Over the last two years we have had many different situations that our Elf ‘Elfie’ has gotten himself into and this year is going to be no different.
In the morning the boys will wake up to our biggest Elf on the Shelf situation to date.
The Hot Air Balloon featured in these photos is available from Balloon & Bear
Here are the pictures of today’s scene that has been set:
We’ve recently mentioned a few times recently that we were expecting our third child.
Three under five we must be insane!!!
Well on Thursday the 19th October this little one made his entrance into this world and we both can’t imagine life without him already.
As with our previous two he was born via Caesarean Section and like Leo this one was planned due to the risks to Keighley following previous sections.
Both baby and mum are doing well and baby has slotted into life in our household extremely well.
Now what’s this little ones name I hear you ask???
Well he has a very traditional name, we are traditional name sort of people with Oliver and Leonard (Leo) having previously made the cut.
May we introduce George Henry.
This year we followed a slightly different vein when it came to our pumpkins. We purchased them from a local grower in our village and glad we did as we got a huge selection to choose from and also were able to get some to turn into Pumpkin Soup.
When we got them home we asked Oliver if he wanted to carve his pumpkin to which he answered that he wanted to colour it in instead. The above photo is the result of his and Leo’s hard work.
They loved the task and we loved the lack of mess to clear up.
In conjunction with Action on Hearing Loss.
In life we all take our hearing for granted assuming that the hearing we have won’t deteriorate as we get older and to be honest we tend to have a habit of abusing our ears to an extent that it can and has caused hearing loss in people of all ages.
